TNA back in business ?

TNA Impact on Thursday, August 29 scored a 0.99 rating, down slightly from a 1.03 rating last week.

Impact averaged 1.24 million viewers, identical to last week's viewership.

Impact, which featured Hulk Hogan's return and key developments following two episodes of "Hardcore Justice," was opposed by the first week of the college football season.

Despite the overall rating dropping, Impact increased to four-month highs in the males 18-34 & males 18-49 demographics. It appears that football, which skews to an older audience similar to Impact, drew away TNA's audience outside of the m18-49 window.

The only other significant change was a three-tenths of a ratings drop in the fluctuating males 12-17 teen audience.

Caldwell's Analysis: Not bad, not good. If TNA can stay at the 1.0-level throughout the fall season when they oppose NFL Regular Season football, that will be a victory for Spike TV.

Let's all hope we aren't subjected to see another wcw sink-job with TNA. . .
