- Floyd Mayweather was recently interviewed by DJ Sway Calloway and was asked about Anderson Silva. The two have traded verbal jabs in the past, with Silva recently stating that he didn't respect the boxing superstar.
"I pray for him, he's OK," said Mayweather. "I don't have nothing negative to say about that guy Anderson Silva. You know, I've seen some highlights on him. I don't know him personally, but I've seen highlights of him fight. Hopefully he can bounce back, I heard he just took an 'L,' so hopefully he can bounce back from that loss... I don't got nothing bad to say about anybody."
- A judge has dismissed music producer Anthony Dash's lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather and WWE. Dash claimed that WWE and Mayweather used a beat that he created without permission at WrestleMania 24. A judge ruled that Dash could not prove that Mayweather and WWE benefited financially from using the song. Dash was suing for $150,000.
- ESPN reports that Michael Bisping suffered an eye injury and has been forced to withdraw from his main event fight with Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 30 on October 26 in Manchester, England. Lyoto Machida, who was previously scheduled to face Tim Kennedy in November, will make his middleweight debut and replace Bisping. The UFC has not yet named a replacement opponent for Kennedy.
- MMAJunkie.com reports that UFC has released former middleweight title contender Yushin Okami. Okami lost to then-middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 134 in 2011. Since that loss, Okami has gone 3-2 in the promotion, most recently losing to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza via first round TKO earlier this month.
