TNA star Kurt Angle spoke with The Big J Show on KRSQ 101.9 in Billings, Montana to promote the Bound For Glory pay-per-view and the Spike TV pre-show special. Angle spoke about Dixie Carter's new on-air persona. "I love the heel turn that Dixie has made," Angle said. "I think it's helped a lot. Obviously, e've had our bumps in the road the last few months, but we've been able to iron it out.
Angle also addressed Hulk Hogan's status. "Hogan is not under contract right now but I have a feeling that he will be back," he said. "I don't know when, but he is an icon, he's a guy who has done so much for wrestling. You always want him on your contract even if he can't wrestle anymore. He's such a huge name and people just love him. I think he's a great guy and I hope we get him back."
Angle also spoke about his stint in rehab. "I had to take some time out," he said. "I had to clear my head and physically get better. TNA has been awesome. Impact Wrestling has been very supportive, 100 percent supportive. Dixie Carter has been amazing. The WWE rehabilitation program has been awesome for me. My road to recovery is great and I'm really happy to be where I am right now."
WWE offers to pay for rehab for their current and former in-ring talent, so it's no surprise that Angle took them up on the offer when he made the decision to go.
